Shakila Ahmed, Board of Directors Secretary

Shakila is Director of Business at the Allergy & Asthma Specialty Center in West Chester, Ohio and a community advocate. She served as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati for 5 years and established its outreach work at inception. She serves on boards of Xavier University, University of Cincinnati Foundation, Cincinnati Regional Coalition Against Hate, and national Muslim Jewish Advisory Council. Her civic engagement has included board leadership in many organizations including the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, YWCA, United Way. FBI multicultural advisory council and Ohio Humanities Council. Her awards include Cincinnati Enquirer women of the year, Women to Watch, Leadership Cincinnati Outstanding Alumni, Hebrew Union College Friendship Award, and holds an honorary PhD from Mount St. Joseph University.
