Greetings of peace,

Today, Muslims around the world are celebrating Eid, the festival that follows the thirty day fast of Ramadan.

It is customary on Eid to reach out to friends, family, and neighbors, and so, as a friend of ING, you are in my thoughts today. On behalf of the entire team at ING, Happy Eid —or, as we say in Arabic, Eid Mubarak!

This year, in the midst of Covid-19, Eid will feel different for those who celebrate. Social distance will preclude communal prayers and social gatherings. Longstanding Eid traditions will be disrupted. Many of us will long to see friends and family who live afar. Others may feel the struggle of uncertain times, lost income, or health.

Nevertheless, it is my hope that we will still uncover the spirit of Eid by finding ways to connect even though we’re apart, leaning on one another when need be, and noticing beauty in the smallest of things. Together, we can push through this trying time and emerge from it stronger and more peaceful than ever before as individuals, neighborhoods, and global communities.

With my best wishes to you and yours today and always,
