Countering Hate

Berkeley Buddhist Temple is hosting an interfaith panel on “Hate: What Can the Faith Community Do About the Hate That Seems to be All Around Us?”. Hate speech and hate crimes are on the rise against racial, ethnic, and religious minorities. What can we learn from the world religions and those who practice them about how to counter hate in our contemporary context? Each panelist will share their own insights and discuss perspectives on the topic from their respective religious traditions.

Throughout the event the panelists will entertain questions and have a discussion with the audience.

Panelists:

Muslim American: Ameena Jandali (bio)
(Additional panelists to be determined)
