The speaker will focus on preventing bullying of students-of-color by understanding the roots of the bias and stereotypes which lead to religious or ethnic-based bullying, promoting an inclusive school and classroom, and gaining a better understanding of students ethnic and religious identities and practices, as well as strategies for addressing bullying when it happens. While the presentation focuses on Muslims as the primary example of a group characterized by pervasive stereotypes, the same strategies apply to all targeted groups and the presentation stresses the overall message of respect and inclusion for all.

Throughout the presentation the speaker will entertain questions and have a discussion with the audience.
