Celebrating Passover and Ramadan Together
Description:
This year Jewish and Muslim communities in the Bay Area are celebrating Passover and Ramadan together. This special interfaith event will feature panelists discussing the significance of liberation in the Exodus narrative during Passover, the revelation of the Quran during Ramadan, fasting, food, and more. There will also be readings from the Torah and the Quran, as well as selections of Jewish and Muslim poetry on the meanings of our respective holidays. Attendees will break bread at sunset and have an opportunity to share their own reflections in table discussions with their Jewish and Muslim neighbors.
