Middle and High Schools

History of ING Presentations and Panels in Middle and High Schools, 1993-present

ING provides educational presentations and panels to middle and high schools to supplement required content standards in World History, U.S. History, World Religions, and Social Sciences classes.

Below is a summary of the number of school and classroom presentations and panels we have delivered in schools from 1993 to the present.

2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR

– Due to school closures in most counties in the San Francisco Bay Area during the second year of the COVID pandemic, requests for our classroom presentations were equal to the year before. During the second year of the pandemic we spoke at 87 classrooms (38 in middle schools and 49 in high schools).

2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR

– Due to school closures in most counties in the San Francisco Bay Area during the COVID pandemic, requests for our classroom presentations dropped precipitously by nearly half. During this first year of the pandemic we spoke at 91 classrooms (49 in middle schools and 42 in high schools).

2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR

-ING visited 53 schools: 14 in Alameda County, 13 in Santa Clara County, 7 in San Francisco County, 4 in San Mateo County,  3 in Sonoma County, 2 in Contra Costa County, 2 in Santa Cruz County, 1 in Monterey County, and 7 outside the Bay Area (via webinar).
– In these 53 schools, ING presented to a total of 210 classes.

2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR

-ING visited 52 schools: 16 in Santa Clara County, 11 in Alameda County, 9 in San Francisco County, 5 in San Mateo County, 2 in Contra Costa County, 3 in Sonoma County, 1 in Marin County, 1 in Santa Cruz County, and 4 outside the Bay Area (via webinar).
– In these 52 schools, ING presented to a total of 259 classes.

2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR

-ING visited 55 schools: 19 in Santa Clara County, 13 in Alameda County, 7 in San Francisco County, 6 in San Mateo County, 4 in Contra Costa County, 2 in Marin County, 2 in Sonoma County, 1 in Santa Cruz County, and 1 outside the Bay Area (via webinar).
– In these 55 schools, ING presented to a total of 256 classes.

2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 62 schools: 17 in Alameda County, 17 in Santa Clara County, 10 in San Francisco County, 6 in San Mateo County, 5 in Contra Costa County, 2 in Marin County, 2 in Santa Cruz County, 2 in Sonoma County, and 1 outside the Bay Area (via webinar).
– In these 62 schools, ING presented to a total of 255 classes.

2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 62 schools: 18 in Santa Clara County, 14 in Alameda County, 8 in Contra Costa County, 8 in San Francisco County, 7 in San Mateo County, 3 in Sonoma County, 1 in Marin County, and 3 outside the Bay Area (via webinar).
– In these 62 schools, ING presented to a total of 266 classes.

2014-2015 SCHOOL YEAR 

– ING visited 61 schools: 19 in Santa Clara County, 17 in Alameda County, 7 in San Mateo County, 6 in Contra Costa County, 4 in San Francisco County, 3 in Sonoma County, 1 in Marin County, and 4 outside the Bay Area (via webinar).
– In these 61 schools, ING presented to a total of 293 classes.

2013-2014 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 59 schools: 16 in Alameda County, 15 in Santa Clara County, 9 in San Francisco County, 4 in Contra Costa County, 9 in San Mateo County, 2 in Sonoma County, 1 in Santa Cruz County, 1 in Marin County, and 2 outside the Bay Area (via webinar).
– In these 59 schools, ING presented to a total of 200 classes.

2012 – 2013 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 73 schools: 22 in Santa Clara County, 18 in Alameda County, 10 in San Francisco County, 9 in San Mateo County, 6 in Contra Costa County, 2 in Sonoma County, 2 in Santa Cruz County, 2 in Marin County, 1 in Monterey County, and 1 outside the Bay Area (via webinar).
– In these 73 schools, ING presented to a total of 228 classes.

2011 – 2012 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 71 schools: 26 in Santa Clara County, 15 in Alameda County, 7 in San Mateo County, 5 in San Francisco County, 7 in Contra Costa County, 5 in Sonoma County, 2 in Marin County, 2 in Monterey County, and 3 outside the San Francisco Bay area (via webinar).
– In these 71 schools, ING presented to a total of 295 classes.

2010 – 2011 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 65 schools: 26 in Santa Clara County, 12 in Alameda County, 8 in San Mateo County, 6 in San Francisco County, 5 in Contra Costa County, 4 in Marin County, 2 in Santa Cruz County, and 2 in Sonoma County.
– In these 65 schools, ING presented to a total of 368 classes.

2009 – 2010 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 81 schools: 29 in Santa Clara County, 17 in Alameda County, 10 in San Francisco County, 8 in San Mateo County, 6 in Contra Costa County, 4 in Santa Cruz County, 3 in Monterey County, 3 in Marin County, and 1 in Solano County.
– In these 81 schools, ING presented to a total of 393 classes.

2008 – 2009 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 99 schools: 27 in Santa Clara County, 26 in Alameda County, 12 in San Mateo County, 11 in San Francisco County, 9 in Contra Costa County,  8 in Monterey County, 4 in Marin County, and 2 in Sonoma County.
– In these 99 schools, ING presented to a total of 471 classes.

2007 – 2008 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 100 schools: 27 in Alameda County, 24 in Santa Clara County, 15 in San Francisco County, 11 in San Mateo County, 10 in Contra Costa County, 6 in Monterey County, 5 in Marin County, and 2 in Santa Cruz County.
– In these 100 schools, ING presented to a total of 398 classes.

2006 – 2007 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 181 schools: 53 in Alameda County, 48 in Santa Clara County, 23 in San Francisco County, 19 in San Mateo County, 14 in Contra Costa County, 11 in Marin County, 9 in Monterey County, and 4 in other counties (Sonoma, Napa, Solano).
– In these 181 schools, ING presented to a total of 469 classes.

2005 – 2006 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 174 schools: 70 in Santa Clara County, 36 in Alameda County, 22 in San Mateo County, 22 in San Francisco County, 11 in Contra Costa County, 6 in Marin County, 4 in Monterey County, and 3 in other counties (Yolo, Sonoma).
– In these 174 schools, ING presented to a total of 368 classes.

2004 – 2005 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 171 schools: 54 in Santa Clara County, 36 in Alameda County, 24 in Contra Costa County, 22 in San Francisco County, 15 in San Mateo County, 10 in Monterey County, and 10 in Marin County.
– In these 171 schools, ING presented to a total of 541 classes.

2003 – 2004 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 226 schools: 76 in Santa Clara County, 44 in Alameda County, 40 in San Mateo County, 28 in San Francisco County, 18 in Contra Costa County, 15 in Marin County, and 5 in Monterey County.
– In these 226 schools, ING presented to a total of 671 classes.

2002 – 2003 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 250 schools: 79 in Santa Clara County, 68 in Alameda County, 36 in San Francisco County, 28 in San Mateo County, 26 in Contra Costa County, 8 in Monterey County, and 5 in Marin County.
– In these 250 schools, ING presented to a total of 743 classes.

2001 – 2002 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 231 schools: 70 in Santa Clara County, 68 in Alameda County, 27 in San Mateo County, 22 in San Francisco County, 18 in Marin County, 16 in Contra Costa County, and 10 in Monterey County.
– In these 231 schools, ING presented to a total of 1,145 classes.

2000 –  2001 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 213 schools: 70 in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, 63 in Santa Clara County, 34 in San Mateo County; 23 in San Francisco County; 16 in Marin County, and 7 in Monterey County.
– In these 213 schools, ING presented to a total of 714 classes.

1999 – 2000 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 181 schools: 54 in Santa Clara County, 54 in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, 33 in San Mateo County, 23 in San Francisco County, 11 in Marin County, and 6 in Monterey County.
– In the 181 schools, ING presented to 562 classes.

1998 – 1999 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 184 schools: 59 in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, 46 in Santa Clara County, 31 in San Mateo County, 24 in San Francisco County, 17 in Marin County, and 7 in Monterey County.
– In these 184 schools, ING presented to 611 classes.

1997 – 1998 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 191 schools: 57 in Santa Clara County, 51 in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, 33 in San Mateo County, 24 in San Francisco County, 14 in Monterey County, and 12 in Marin County.
– In these 191 schools, ING presented to 600 classes.

1996 – 1997 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 156 schools: 77 in Santa Clara, San Francisco, and Marin Counties, 65 in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, 11 in Monterey County, 2 in San Mateo County, and 1 in Sonoma County.
– In these 156 schools, ING presented to 541 classes.

1995 – 1996 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 134 schools: 66 in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, 45 in Santa Clara County, 13 in Monterey County, 9 in San Francisco County, and 1 in Marin County.
– In these 134 schools, ING presented to 402 classes.

1994 – 1995 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 149 schools: 52 in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, 43 in Santa Clara County; 25 in Monterey County, 22 in San Mateo County, and 7 in San Francisco County.
– In these 149 schools, ING presented to 447 classes.

1993 – 1994 SCHOOL YEAR

– ING visited 107 schools: 44 in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, 32 in San Mateo and San Francisco counties, and 31 in Santa Clara County.
– In these 107 schools visited, ING presented to 321 classes.
