Inclusion and Belonging Training for Professional Groups

ING’s Inclusion and Belonging training is designed to complement long-term Inclusive Leadership programs by helping participants create environments where everyone feels valued, seen, and respected. This training goes beyond acknowledging differences, focusing on actively building spaces where individuals experience a true sense of belonging.

Participants gain practical tools to identify and dismantle barriers to inclusion, foster authentic relationships, and promote equal opportunities for all. Through a dynamic blend of education, self-reflection, and actionable strategies, they will develop the skills to cultivate inclusive cultures where belonging is not just an ideal but a lived experience.

Our training is available in-person or online and tailored to meet the needs of diverse professional groups, including K-12 educators; college and university staff; corporate teams; law enforcement personnel; healthcare providers and dentists; government employees, court administrators, and non-profit organization teams.  Join us in building workplaces and communities where everyone thrives.

Our Inclusion and Belonging trainings are available in one-to-four-hour formats, include exercises, and address the following topics:

  • Unconscious Bias: Sometimes called “implicit bias” training, this topic explores the historical origins of stereotypes and assumptions about different religious and ethnic groups. Understanding these origins helps individuals recognize the stereotypes they hold, initiating their journey toward change. Like any problem, the solution begins by addressing its root causes.

  • Impact on Communities: Examines how centuries-old stereotypes have affected different communities across various societal sectors, leading to systemic inequities in some cases. This topic identifies patterns of inequity in daily life, helping individuals take steps to dismantle stereotypes personally and inequities institutionally.

  • Cultural Competency:
    • What We Want You to Know About Us: A speaker or panelist shares insights into their religious or ethnic group, addressing common stereotypes. Audiences often find this the most engaging topic, sparking deeper exploration into unfamiliar cultures and communities.
    • Protocols for Interaction: A speaker or panelist discusses best practices for interaction tailored to the needs of the professional group being addressed.

  • Calls to Action: Combatting Bias and Institutional Inequities: Provides strategies and tools for addressing interpersonal stereotypes and institutional inequities, fostering a more inclusive culture.

  • Our Inclusion and Belonging training addresses the following groups:
    • Muslims, specifically Muslim Americans, who are diverse in ethnic backgrounds and may face discrimination due to intersections of religion, race, gender, and immigration status.
    • Interreligious panels featuring Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, and Hindu Americans.
    • Interethnic and intercultural panels featuring Muslim, Jewish, African, Indigenous, Latino/Hispanic, and Asian Americans.
