Dynamic Trainings to Foster Inclusive Patient Care
Our healthcare and dentalcare diversity trainings begin with an introduction to Islamophobia and its impact on Muslim American healthcare and dental care. The trainings then look at ways to create more equitable healthcare and dentalcare delivery for Muslim patients through a better understanding of Muslim traditions and practices. This is followed by cultural competency suggestions for how to best accommodate these practices in dentalcare and healthcare settings, including on women’s health, reproduction issues, and end-of-life care. Both types of trainings conclude with a series of case studies of potential scenarios and the best ways to respond to them. Available in 1- and 2-hour segments.
Our healthcare and dentalcare diversity trainings consist of speakers representing the Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, and Hindu communities. The interreligious panels provide an overview of the challenges faced by various faith communities, including religious bias in society and institutional settings that may impact healthcare and dentalcare delivery and outcomes. The panelists then discuss what they want healthcare and dentalcare providers to know about them that challenges prevailing stereotypes, best practices for interaction, and conclude with a series of case studies of potential scenarios and best ways to respond to them. Available in 2-, 3- and 4- hour formats with exercises and break-out groups.
Our healthcare and dentalcare diversity trainings consist of speakers representing the Black, Indigenous, Latino/Hispanic, Asian, Jewish, and Muslim communities. The interracial panel begins by describing the history of racism against their groups, the racialization of Muslims and Jews, and the many ways that prevalent stereotypes are internalized by society and contribute to implicit bias, which can lead to discrimination in healthcare and dentalcare settings. The panelists then discuss what they want healthcare and dentalcare providers to know about them that challenges prevailing stereotypes, best practices for interaction, and conclude with a series of case studies of potential scenarios and the best ways to respond to them. Available in 2-, 3- and 4- hour formats with exercises and break-out groups.

What Clients Say About ING Panels and Presentations
“Thank you to the ING presenter for an amazing and informative presentation. I have never had so many requests for the recording and slides she used. We had over 120 people attend live, which is 50% more than our usual attendance. So the recording of the DEI seminar will be highly valued.”

“I wanted to thank you for your generous offering for the General community this week. I know our community gains so much each year that we gather together to educate staff about supporting Muslim patients . . . I’ve already received feedback from staff with deep appreciation for this offering this year. Several Muslim staff have approached me to offer gratitude that this was available this year.”
