Ellen Stromberg, Speaker

Ellen Stromberg is a lifelong practicing Jew who works in many aspects of Jewish education and spirituality. Currently she works with young teens preparing them for Bar or Bat Mitzvah. She also teaches Hebrew, the study of texts, and spirituality. Since 2016, Ellen has created and worked with Jewish and Muslim women in the San Francisco Bay Area through Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom, a national organization that brings Muslim and Jewish women together. It brings ongoing deeper understanding, connection, community, and peacemaking to the two groups. Ellen has been engaged in antiracism activism for the past several years. 20 years ago, Ellen trained as a spiritual companion/director through Lev Shomea (Listening Heart) and learned to listen deeply for ongoing understanding. This underlies all her work and her passion for interfaith understanding and connection.
