Ishaq earned his B.A. from Hamilton College with a major in Anthropology and minors in Education and Middle Eastern & Islamic World Studies. He also holds a certificate in nonprofit leadership from the College of San Mateo and Center for Excellence in Nonprofits. In 2019, Ishaq was an Interfaith Youth Core Innovation Fellow supporting Muslim, Jewish, and Sikh teens to raise awareness on Islamophobia, anti-Semitism and/or anti-Sikh bigotry in their schools. During his time at Hamilton College, he served as the Senior Chapel Fellow; president of the Muslim Student Association; and co-founder of the All Beliefs Union. Ishaq is also a member of the Interfaith Youth Core Alumni network and the International Foreign Language Honor Society, Phi Sigma Iota. Read Ishaq’s blog here.
