Laura moved to the San Francisco Bay Area from the Southwest Virginia mountains. A former school psychologist, she is an online psychology professor and hospice chaplain. She holds a BA in psychology and human services from the University of Tennessee, an MS in psychology and EdS in school psychology from Radford University, an MTS from Pacific School of Religion, and a PhD in family and child development from Virginia Tech. She also received chaplaincy and spiritual direction certificates from the Chaplaincy Institute and a paralegal certificate from California State University. She is trained as a Myers-Briggs Practitioner and as an Alternatives to Violence facilitator. She enjoys reading, writing, and traveling. Laura represents Christianity.
