Tenzin has been studying and practicing Buddhism for over 40 years, primarily in the Tibetan tradition, and practiced as a monastic for nearly 20 years. She completed a six-year solitary meditation retreat in 2006, and since then has been teaching at Buddhist centers in North and South America, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. Tenzin is passionate about social justice and has taught Buddhist meditation and philosophy in prisons for 15 years. In addition to teaching Buddhist philosophy, she is a certified teacher of Stanford’s Compassion Cultivation Training and also the Cultivating Emotional Balance program. Tenzin represents Buddhism.
