Announcing Muslim Teen Summer Campaign to Counter Islamophobia

What comes to mind when you think of the word Muslim? People generally have particular ideas about how Muslims look and behave. How can we expand beyond these perspectives to see Muslims for who they truly are with all of their diversity?
To address this, ING’s teen interns are proud to announce the start of our campaign, Redefining Muslim: Expanding Conceptions of Muslim Americans on the new INGYouth Instagram account @ing_youth. Over the course of the summer, we will provide educational resources to counter Islamophobic assumptions about Muslims. We will also highlight intersectional Muslim voices and nuanced narratives with an attention to issues relevant in the current moment.
Want to get involved in the campaign? Follow us on Instagram @ing_youth. This campaign is open to secular or religious teens of all backgrounds.
