December 27, 2011 – Bullying in Schools: An Overview

Bullying affects millions of students every year, causing 160,000 to stay out of school. A recent report by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Deliquency Prevention looked into the connection between bullying and truancy (failing to attend school), which has been linked to such societal harms as crime and drug usage. The study found a significant link between bullying and school engagement, which links to school performance and attendance. Read more here!
