How do adherents of different religions live out their beliefs, practices, and values in the busy lives they lead in the contemporary world? Representatives of major world religions in this panel discussion begin with a brief introduction of their beliefs and practices before answering the question of how they live out their faith. They specifically draw on their understanding and experiences living in the San Francisco Bay region. The topics addressed include how religions influence everyday life, how people make room in their daily schedule for the demands of their religion, and how they negotiate possible tensions between religious practice and their working and living environment.

This discussion will help audiences understand how commitment to a religious tradition and community shapes and gives context to one’s daily life.

There will be ample time for Q & A and discussion with the panelists: Nauman Azhar (facilitator and Muslim speaker), Tenzin Chogkyi (Buddhist), George Anne McDonnell (Christian), Sheila Mohan (Hindu), Eli Taub (Jewish).

This panel is a Religious Leaders Forum organized by Silicon Valley Interreligious Council (SiVIC).
