Muslim-Jewish East Bay Virtual Iftar: Building Community in a Time of Holiness: How Muslims and Jews Adapt Their Rituals Map Unavailable Date/Time Date(s) - Thursday, April 30th, 2020 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm Categories Special Community Events In this holy time of Passover and Ramadan, Jews and Muslims around the world are faced with the challenge of adapting their holiday rituals during the coronavirus pandemic. How are Jewish and Muslim communities in the East Bay addressing this challenge? Join us for an evening of prayers, presentations, and small group discussions between Muslim and Jewish neighbors to learn and discuss the changes in rituals we are making during this time. In the spirit of Ramadan, we will conclude with the Muslim call to prayer and break fast together. Participants can then finish the evening separately with formal prayer and family meals. Registration: Please register below. A zoom link will be sent prior to the event date. Attendance is limited and open to Muslims and Jews living in East Bay. Free of charge. Registration ends on Wednesday, April 29th at 11:59 PM.
