Join us for an engaging and practical seminar designed to equip college campus staff and faculty with the tools to better support Muslim students and challenge Islamophobia. Through a blend of pre-workshop preparation—including short readings, a quiz on Islamophobic attitudes, and a case-based worksheet—participants will arrive ready to dive into thoughtful discussion and learning. The workshop explores the diversity of Muslim identities, the historical and contemporary presence of Islam in the U.S., and how to respond to common misconceptions. We’ll also define Islamophobia, unpack its roots and impact, and explore how it intersects with other forms of bias. Interactive exercises and real-life case studies will help participants apply strategies to support Muslim students in everyday interactions and during politically challenging times. This is a vital opportunity to build awareness, strengthen inclusion efforts, and foster a more supportive campus environment for all.
