In response to a recent hate crime in Sunnyvale where a man drove into pedestrians believing that they were Muslim, the city’s mayor, County Supervisor, state and federal representatives are jointly holding a solidarity event with South Bay Muslims and our interfaith allies on Wednesday, May 29, 6:30-8:30 pm at the Sunnyvale Senior Center.
Join ING, CAIR-SF Bay Area, SBIA, MCA, and WVMA for a unity gathering featuring a panel of government officials and other community representatives to promote peace and strengthen our community bonds.
Food and beverages will be served at the time of sunset, or breaking of the Ramadan fast.
Join us in support of the eight pedestrians injured in the hate crime to find ways to heal and strengthen our community bonds.
