Supporting an Inclusive Workplace

“Supporting an Inclusive Workplace” in a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging panel presented by Islamic Networks Group (ING). This panel is designed for corporate executives and staff, human resources managers, diversity professionals, and other key department directors and leaders.

Despite major advances following the civil rights movement, including educational and professional advances, racism and bigotry towards non-Whites continues today. Join us as we examine the roots of unconscious bias towards radicalized groups, including Muslim, Jewish, African, Asian, and Latina Americans. Panelists from these communities will discuss what they want the audience to know about them based on prevailing stereotypes and also offer suggestions for engaging with these diverse communities based on the specific needs of the professional group we’re addressing. Pre-panel videos of each speaker will be provided as well as a post-panel handout to counter prejudice and hate while building an inclusive workplace based on mutual understanding and solidarity.

Throughout the event the panelists will entertain questions and have a discussion with the audience.
