ING President Joins US Secretary of Education Arne Duncan In A Discussion On Impact of Sequestration On Schools
ING President Maha Elgenaidi joined US Secretary of Education Arne Duncan in a conference call today discussing the potential impact of sequestration on schools and communities should Congress be unable to avoid that action this week. ING Joins President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge Bay Area Forum St. Mary’s College, Moraga, CA At the request of the Department of Education, ING will be one of the featured organizations in an interfaith panel discussing community based organizations and college cooperation in the area of interfaith and community service. ING director Ameena Jandali will join a round table discussion to describe ING’s Interfaith Speakers Bureau program and how faith-based organizations in the community can resource interfaith engagement; how community organizations can work with institutions of higher education on community service; and the benefits of community-based organizations working with colleges on interfaith/community service projects.
