Rachael Myrow to moderate on-stage
conversation at the ING Annual Dinner
We’re pleased to announce that Rachael Myrow, Host of KQED’s California Report will moderate our panel on religious identity and engagement in secular society. Rachael holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a graduate degree in journalism from UC Berkeley. She has hosted California Report for the last seven years. After we hear from our keynote speakers Dalia Mogahed and Imam Suhaib Webb, they will be joined by the following youth leaders for an on-stage conversation with Rachael:
- Osama El-Gabalawy – Stanford University junior, and president of the Islamic Society of Stanford University
- Simone Hudson – Stanford University sophomore and member of Hillel at Stanford
- Seher Siddiqee – Santa Clara University senior, and intern in interfaith programs at ING
- Tim Brauhn – MA in international relations, and Communications Manager at ING
Keynote speakers include:
Dalia Mogahed is co-author with Dr. John Esposito of Who Speaks for Islam?: What a Billion Muslims Really Think, an appointee of President Obama as advisor to the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, and former Executive Director of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies.
Suhaib Webb is the imam of the Islamic Society of Boston. After converting to Islam in 1992, he studied at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Webb was named one of the 500 Most Influential Muslims in the World by The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre in 2010.
