Learning Objectives: Students will gain a deeper understanding of the September 11, 2001 attacks and the event’s far-reaching impact on America and the world by examining how it affected various aspects of society, including politics, national security, the economy, and foreign policy as well as its impact on various groups inside and outside America. Students will be exposed to lived experiences of various affected communities and will explore both the differences and the similarities among the experiences of different groups.
Students will also explore the long-term implications of and the changes that resulted from this tragic and transformative event in a variety of areas, including immigration policies, race relations, and responses to related global events.
