In February, Ahmaud Arbery, a young black American, was shot and killed while jogging, unarmed, in broad daylight on a suburban street. Video footage of the shooting, which was recently placed on the internet has sparked outrage and raises questions about the late arrests that only came today, even after two white men — a former police detective and his son —have admitted to the killing.
Join us in taking a stand against the bigotry that continues to ravage minority, and especially Black, communities across America. Please donate to the NAACP’s #WeAreDoneDying campaign in honor of Ahmaud and sign the #JusticeforAhmaud petition.
Through our Intercultural Speaker’s Bureau, ING continues to fight Islamophobia and other forms of bigotry and hatred in America. Our free panels on Creating Inclusive and Equitable Communities examine the history and interconnectedness of various forms of bigotry directed against Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh, Black, Latinx, Asian, and Indigenous American populations, and call individuals and institutions to action.
We can, and must, all do our part in standing up and speaking out against hate, bigotry, and injustice!
