Sabrina Parra-Garcia is the Senior Equity Analyst for the Department of Transportation in the City of San José, joining the DOT in 2022 following more than five years with the Office of Racial Equity. She splits her time working data equity training, tool development, and metric creation as well as community engagement and peer support. She joined the City in 2015 working for the councilmember who represents District 5, building on her experience as a community organizer on the Eastside with PACT. From enlisting the support of garment workers in Los Angeles to researching new development agreements for hospitality workers, social justice, equity, and inclusion have been the threads that have guided her.
