ING’s training titled Understanding Muslim Students: Fostering an Inclusive Environment covers an array of topics, including challenges for students in a post-9/11 environment, bullying prevention, religious practices of American Muslim students, First Amendment principles when teaching about religion, and educational resources and materials.

Attendees were appreciative of the insight and information covered in the training, particularly in a district which has become incredibly diverse in recent years. As one attendee remarked, “I feel like the information I learned today has provided a better understanding into some of the issues I have encountered with my Muslim students.”
