ING Founder Speaking at ISNA Regional Conference in Dallas

ING Founder Maha Elgenaidi will be presenting at the ISNA South Central Zone Conference this weekend in Dallas, Texas. She will be speaking on two panels, the first on the topic of Fostering a Healthy Environment for Muslim Families, and the second on the topic Creating a Just Society: Love, Compassion, and Respect for Others. ING will hold its annual Ramadan Dinner on Sunday, July 13th at the Muslim Community Center in Pleasanton. Our keynote speaker at the event is Usama Canon. ING Founder Maha Elgenaidi will also provide an update on ING. To learn more see here.

ING Staff Training at Alvarado Middle School

ING conducted a staff training at Alvarado Middle School for about 40 staff members and teachers at Alvarado Middle School in early May. Before the presentation staff enjoyed a South Asian lunch provided by mothers of students at the school. The presentation provided an overview of issues experienced by Muslim students such as bullying, as well as resources for teaching about Muslim culture.
