Internship Application Deadline May 13

ING offers a wide range of paid full- and part-time internships and volunteer opportunities to work with academic and professional staff in the fields of interreligious education, programs, communications, fundraising and operations. You must be an undergraduate or graduate college student in order to apply. To apply, submit a cover letter and resume to [email protected] by Friday, May 13. Decisions will be made by Friday, May 20. Internships begin as early as May 23 and end as late as September 16.

 

ING Shines at More Perfect Union Event

ameena_cabrillo_collegeING Content Director Ameena Jandali was among the speakers at the Toward a More Perfect Union: Overcoming Islamaphobia event on May 1st at Cabrillo College in Aptos co-sponsored by the Watsonville-Santa Cruz chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) and the History Department of Cabrillo Community College.

Event participants joined in a community-wide conversation about how they might respond personally and as a community to Islamophobia. Event organizers voiced their deep appreciation for ING’s help in organizing and presenting, saying: “Ameena did a fantastic job. Attendees found her to be easily approachable and extremely knowledgeable. We are grateful to have her represent ING and the Muslim community.”

 

ING Youth Speaker Training

At this first ING Youth Speakers Bureau training, high school and middle school students will be trained to present their faith in a clear, articulate way that will reach their peers and build inter-religious understanding and harmony in their schools and communities.

 

Getting to Know American Muslims
in Today’s Political Environment
