A Story of Renewal and Hope

In commemoration of the horrific attacks on 9/11, we wanted to share a story of renewal and hope about a Muslim immigrant who along with her colleagues chose unity and peace over fear and despair. An engineer by profession, Manal Ezzat designed a space where people of different religious faiths can worship in the Pentagon.

Join ING’s Interfaith Speaker’s Bureau (IFSB) and Santa Clara County Supervisor Joe Simitian for an exciting panel discussion on
“Separation of Church and State” on Thursday, September 12, from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts.
This panel will consist of Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, and Christian representatives who will address the different ways that their religious communities have interacted with the state while addressing actual court cases around the country.
The session will also include a period of Q&A with the audience. This panel is co-sponsored by the City of Mountain View. RSVP

Join Us This Saturday, 9/14 at Sunnyvale’s Celebration of Diversity and Inclusion
ING Bay Area Director Ishaq Pathan, ING Programs Associate Michelle Galecki, and members of our Interfaith Speakers Bureau (IFSB) will have a
booth at this years State of the City event in Sunnyvale. This year’s theme is “Light, Love, Unity,” celebrating Sunnyvale’s vision of diversity and inclusion. Our booth will include an engaging activity for people to envision a world with interfaith harmony. Join us on Saturday, September 14, in downtown Sunnyvale from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Oakland for dinner and to learn more about the Intercultural Speakers Bureau (ICSB), a new ING program that promotes inclusive and equitable communities. The ICSB organizes panels of two or more representatives from various religious and cultural backgrounds to speak about the roots and interconnectedness of various forms of bigotry and concludes with calls to action to counter prejudice and hate while building an inclusive society based on mutual understanding and solidarity. The IFSB organizes panels of two or more representatives from the five major religions speaking on a variety of topics that are held in schools, colleges, universities, and other venues. ING is Growing! We’re Hiring for Bay Area and CA State-Wide Programs

ING is growing in the Bay Area and in California. We’re hiring a Programs Scheduler, Program and Communications Manager, and Programs Manager to join our Bay Area team!
- The Programs Scheduler is responsible for handling and scheduling all requests for ING presentations, lectures, panels, and seminars and for distributing ING materials to speakers.
- The Programs and Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing and expanding three of ING’s flagship programs: the Islamic Speakers Bureau, the Interfaith Speakers Bureau, and INGYouth as well as managing part of ING’s communications channels.
- The Programs Manager is responsible for overseeing and expanding new ING programs: the Intercultural Speakers Bureau (ICSB) program and the Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) program funded by the State of California.
